Maverick Icons:
Who Is A Maverick Visionary?

Maverick Visionaries are 21st century business leaders who collide at the intersection of bold business initiatives, happiness and greater meaning.
At their core they believe in growth, impact and joy…and how each one is interconnected.
Maverick Visionaries believe their future is bigger than their past (regardless of what they’ve already achieved or how much success they’ve already had). They are the trailblazers, luminaries and change-makers who truly make a difference using their expanded vision.
Especially those who consider how ALL of their experiences, network connections, resources, talents, skills, “successes,” and “failures,” are now the new starting point for something bigger (for themselves and the world).

From: Yanik Silver
Hi,
I need to ask you a favor…
I’m going to ask you to suspend disbelief for just one moment.
Just be open to what I’m going to share with you because on the surface this appears to be way too good to be true.
It’s the idea that it is easier than you think to get the noise out of your head and gain clarity. It’s the idea that falling back in love with your business could make you BOTH more profitable and more impactful. Or the idea that starting something new could propel you into true fulfillment aligned with your desire to better the world. I know because when I finally figured this out (the hard way), we ended up with an 823% profit jump over a 3-year period.
Not only can this concept that I call the Maverick Visionary Framework grow your bottom line, but it can actually create a truly sustainable, competitive advantage and re-ignite everything you do with more joy, happiness, and meaning to fulfill a higher mission.
Before I explain The Maverick Visionary Framework, I want to introduce you to the most powerful and potentially scariest question a Visionary Entrepreneur, or what I like to call a Stage-III Entrepreneur, can ask themselves AFTER they’re achieved “success”.
Just two tiny, little words….

"Now What?"
That’s it. Seems easy enough but not quite.
If you’re a visionary entrepreneur by definition that means you’ve always had vision.
This question sneaks up on you because it is the unintentional “Stage-III Success Trap” so many entrepreneurs regularly fall into and then have to navigate their way back through with a new compass.
Okay now before we go on, let me define three stages so we’re on the same page. (Though I bet once you hear them you’re already intimately familiar with them.)

Hey, you’re just trying to build the parachute on the way down after you’ve jumped out of the plane. You’re attempting to figure out your market, your offering, your pricing, etc. You’re willing to do everything and anything while simultaneously wearing all 62 hats required to keep your company going.
Holy crap it worked! You’re growing and others would say you’ve actually “made it.” Money is coming in, recognition from your peers and the press, things are happening and the business is thriving. Sure, you’ve had your lumps and bumps along the way but you’ve climbed the mountain. Heck, even your parents don’t give you grief anymore that you’re not a doctor or lawyer.
The “Now What?” stage… It’s a crossroads. You know there’s something more but you can't figure it out. You have a notion that you were designed for greater things. You want to put ALL your talents, passion, and resources into something bigger. This starts with a sense of discontent, frustration, or boredom with what’s going on in your business. Maybe you discount all of this as burnout. It’s much bigger than that.
Have you ever felt like you are destined for greatness?

It’s too easy to just “push” more water down the river by simply doing what is easy and has worked for you before.
But then something happens. It usually starts with a sense of discontent or disengagement…
A nagging little voice that you are NOT accomplishing everything you were meant to be...
That perhaps you aren't fully utilizing your talents, your abilities or your resources to the highest potential…
That you aren't putting out your greatest work, your biggest impact, and the most meaningful difference you can make in the world.
Your true path creates a new river of your choosing. It takes courage. Faith. Full alignment. It’s your truth.
What You Need Is A Map To Re-think, Re-imagine, & Re-define Success That Will Allow You To Travel To The Next And More Meaningful Destination.
What is your (next) greatest purpose you’re scared to proclaim?
No question, it’s something that might seem too lofty or not in your realm of knowing - but that’s not up to you.
Your role is to allow the greatest wave of cosmic proportions to take you in service of the evolutionary whole.
Why did you come here?
Set your highest intention and hold on for the ride!

This cannot happen by doing what you’ve always done. It requires merging your head, heart and highest purpose. It means following that nagging voice that you have more to offer. It requires tough questions without easy answers.

“How A Flying Bowl Of Cereal Changed My Life For The Better...”
(And Maybe Yours Too)

Let’s start from the beginning. I promise it will all be worth it for you in the end.
I’ve been in business on my own for a long time (two decades actually).
I don’t know at what age I got the idea but I wanted to be a millionaire. It seemed like that was the meaningful high water mark.
I was a weird kid.
14 years old my dad had me telemarketing inside our family business selling latex gloves to dentists. Then at 16, I only got a car if I cold-called doctors as our family business was selling medical equipment.
Somehow really early on I got introduced to success principles and ideas. I listened to Jim Rohn and set the goal of being a millionaire for who I’d become by becoming one. And I did (mostly)…
In my journal I wrote “I am a millionaire by age 30 or sooner.”
Not quite. I got to that illustrative 7-figure mark by age 31.
Champagne bottles!
Woohoo!!
Party time!
Right?
No, not quite.
I should be really, really happy. But nothing really happened. It’s not like I expected a chorus of angels to descend from the heavens and congratulate me! (I mean I kind of expected something but mostly it was a “that’s cool” kind of feeling.)
Easy. My “next” goal was a 10MM business by age of 40 or sooner and I was working on that. I figure that’s what you do next, right? I hit a million, let’s be a deca-millionaire.
So I continued down the same path.
I got my dream car.
I went on incredible vacations with my friends and family.
I got to meet my biggest business hero, Richard Branson. (And I got kicked off Necker Island but that’s a story for another time.)
I even bought a ticket to space!

Many would say that I went all the way to the “top of the game," making millions and serving tens of thousands of happy customers.
Yes, I did a lot of cool stuff with my life and career, but there was still this nagging feeling that I just wasn't bringing my highest work to the world, that I was simply “going with what I knew worked” and doing the safe thing.
Don’t get me wrong, I was (and still am) extremely grateful and appreciative for everything I had, but I just wasn’t totally happy.
That’s why, a little over twelve years ago now, I made my next biggest transition from “just” being an Internet marketer teaching and selling my own products. My criteria was pretty simple. I asked myself the big question:
The answer was a resounding and booming NO!
I knew my greatest contribution lay somewhere else with everything so far being the set-up for something greater. I had stopped growing and stopped being passionate about what I was doing.
These frustrations led me to do a lot of journaling and reflection. My discovery was that I was happiest when I was actively engaged in three areas. As shortcuts, I called them make more, have more fun, and give more. Interestingly enough, I found that each of these areas affected the others. For example, the more fun I had, the more my income might go up; or the more I gave, the more income I’d create, etc.

Originally, my idea stemmed from my own desire to hang out with other successful entrepreneurs and do wild adventures together. I’d combine it with business building and something charitable mixed in. I called the company Maverick Business Adventures®, with the advantageous acronym of MBA.
Maverick Business Adventures began to take on a life of its own. The trips were epic affairs with incredible attendees, and we were making good memories traveling the world. However from a financial standpoint, we were going the wrong direction. This was a totally different kind of business model than my previous publishing companies and I had invested nearly 400k by the time my wife, Missy, asked, “What the heck are you doing?” (Okay, it might have been a little stronger than that.)
This was so frustrating.
This continued to nag at me that I was “almost” doing the REAL work I needed to be doing in my life, and it was KILLING me financially...
Then there was the fateful morning I finally cracked...
I was at my kitchen table about to eat breakfast, going over the things I had to do that day in my head. There were over $70,000 in bills weighing on me, and at that point, I really had no smart way to pay them at the moment. I could feel the tension of my higher self at war with the guy who had a business to run, and commitments to keep. My new enterprise was failing financially, I was only playing halfway with it -- and it was bleeding money fast.
I just couldn't believe I had let things fall this far, this fast...
I mean, how the hell could I not fix this? I had never had an unsuccessful venture. But now, something I cared so deeply and passionately about was going south…and dragging my other businesses down along with it.
Normally I’m a pretty laid-back guy, but I was really pissed. Mostly I was just angry at myself for letting this happen. I don’t usually have a temper, but...
It Was Then I Chucked My Cereal Bowl Across the Room And Smashed into the Family Room Wall
The shock and anger were all I needed to take action and make a giant change in my business.
In fact, the dent in my wall is still there as a reminder of the morning that The Maverick Visionary Framework was born...
I realized my “Big Why” was not to build out an adventure travel company but to truly change the way business is played. Looking back at this experience, I’m actually incredibly grateful for not getting it “right” the first go around.
I’m thankful for those experiences because it forced me to truly decide if the vision for what we were building was worth it or not. If I was just creating a fun adventure company, then, no, it wasn’t worth it. It was my love for a bigger mission that kept me going to figure out how to make it work.
I decided right then at that time that I couldn't face my children another moment if their father wasn't doing his absolute best to help change the world. I believe business can be the greatest leverage to make that difference, and I knew we could have a hand in that kind of important work.
PROOF That The Maverick Visionary Framework Can Change Everything

Research continues to show that this is not just a trend but a serious seismic shift.
It confirms what you might have felt in your heart already but now the data is backing it up. It is VERY possible to do good in the world and do well for yourself and your company all at the same time.

Yanik Silver has been called a Cosmic Catalyst, a Maverick Mischief-maker and a Galactic Goofball. He redefines how business is played in the 21st century at the intersection of evolutionary growth, impact and fun. Yanik is the author of Evolved Enterprise and the founder of Maverick1000, a global collective of visionary entrepreneurs making a serious difference in the world, without taking themselves too seriously. In fact, it’s not unusual to find him dressed as a lemur, a showgirl or even in matching mermaid tails with Sir Richard Branson.
Yanik believes we all have our own “Cosmic Alarm Clock” that goes off at exactly the right time to fulfill our destiny of greatness. It starts as a whisper, a small voice that gets louder and louder until you either answer it or hit snooze. He has spent his life exploring that connection of head, heart and highest purpose… with his colored pens in hand. It might have all started when he snuck out at the age of 5 to buy markers — only to catch the wrong bus home and end up at the police station. (Undaunted, his love of doodling and exploring still continue to this day!)
